Pilates is a more dynamic exercise than yoga that coordinates movement with breathing. It is similar to yoga in that it requires deep breathing and muscle control with some isometric exercise holding the body in specific positions or poses. This pilates class has added concentric and eccentric contracting and muscle movement to give a dynamic and fun workout, for this class with music! This class is great for anyone who needs 'low impact'. If you have any back issues you just want to check with your doctor and/or physical therapist first.
